The iPhone Dev Team have released Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 6 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4, and iPad on iOS 4.2.1. Once again, this release is also for Mac testers only, there is no Windows version of the tool.
The previous release, Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 5 fixed Bluetooth issue, and also included an anti-piracy plea for all those who are downloading pirated copies of iOS 4.2 Beta 3. Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta requires 4.2b3 hashes for the untethered jailbreak, which is available only to iOS developers enrolled with Apple.
Unlike the previous releases, you can now run Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 6 over your previous Beta 5 jailbreak, without any problems. However enthusiastic testers are recommended to do the jailbreak over stock update to iOS 4.2.1 as well, for the purpose of better testing.
The Dev Team is targeting to release the next version of Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta to work with iOS 4.1 SHSH, so there would be no need to download 4.2 Beta 3 firmware.
