To try the system for yourself, you'll need an iPhone 3GS/4 or the latest iPod touch, the app (you can grab it from Apple's App Store), as well as a $5 language pack. If you can't obtain those three, you'll have to live with being awed by the video embedded below, put together by the app's creator, Quest Visual.

Flash on iOS devices has been a hotly debated topic ever since the iPhone was first introduced three years ago. Apple and Adobe have not been able to resolve their differences during this time and there seems to be no end in sight. There is hope, however, and it lies with a new WebKit app called Skyfire. It’s not a perfect solution to flash on the iPhone, but it does give people access to a large number of Flash videos on the web. Unfortunately, Skyfire removed the app voluntarily soon after it was introduced.
The first five hours of Skyfire’s initial release went quite well. Enthusiasm for the app was so great that it overwhelmed their server’s capacity to deliver video at a reasonable rate. In just five hours, Skyfire became the top grossing app and the third highest paid app overall. This is quite an impressive feat, to say the least.
Skyfire for iPhone Has Been Approved Flash is Finally Coming to iOS Devices

Apple should allow, in the coming days a new application that allows playback of Flash content. This is the SkyFire web browser available very soon on the App Store. As the war between Apple and Adobe has raged about this subject and that the final position occupied by each actor is not suitable for end users, this would seem to have benefited from a new player, to the delight of owners of an equipment of the Cupertino company.
