Many users asked us how to unlock their iPhone 4 on baseband 4.11.08, on the software method, the only thing we know is UltraSn0w's developer is working on it, but sadly no ETA. Kind of hope is, recently the team behind Rebel SIM (R SIM) claims a hardware method to unlock the iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08 running on firmware iOS 5 with R SIM IV. R-SIM (Rebel SIM).

You can use any previous generation of Gvey sim before Ultra but function the same as Ultra.

Today Apple released the first commercial dedicated to Verizon users who have long waited for an iPhone compatible with CDMA networks underlying communications of this operator, a few weeks ago Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 4 Verizon, in addition to some new software side (mounts the native firmware 4.2.5 with some unique features) also has the hardware side improvements such as, for example, a new antenna position that corrects the problem of loss of reception.

The newly launched Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 has been found to be running a newer version of iOS not yet found on any other device i.e iOS 4.2.5 which adds a new option to the settings menu. This new option is the “Personal Hotspot” that turns the Verizon iPhone 4 into a mobile WiFi hotspot which can connect up to 5 devices simultaneously to share its data connection. However, no official word has yet been released by Apple on releasing this newer iOS firmware for other devices such as older iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS/3G, iPod touch or the iPad.

We just got a quick hands-on session with the Verizon iPhone 4. And, you guessed it, it’s just like a normal (GSM) iPhone 4. There are some subtle differences though, which we’ve displayed in the pictures and video. We’ll cover this more later on, but right from the start we can see there is a personal hotspot feature and a slight change to the antenna design (four breaks in the metal band, instead of three). As we were told in the press conference the antenna was optimized for CDMA, but it wasn’t significantly changed or fixed.

The leaks suggested that the Verizon iPhone would have slightly relocated buttons, and it's true -- as you can see in the photo above, the newly revised CDMA antenna notch has pushed the volume and mute controls down a hair from GSM version. That means a lot of cases -- Apple's current bumpers included -- won't fit properly on the Verizon version, although many third-party cases feature an open slot for the buttons that might still work. Either way, we'd bet Apple and third-party manufacturers are scrambling to have compatible cases in stores before the February 10th launch date -- just make sure to check yours first if you're switching from AT&T.via

The guys at iPhoneislam has come up with a tweak to deactivate the iPhone 4 Facetime block in the Middle East. All you have to do is to jailbreak your phone, then open Cydia and add this repo: apps.iphoneislam.com. From the repo, grab the FaceTime Hacktivator.

Apple’s white iPhone 4 is a bit further off than this morning’s update to the Apple Store iPhone application suggests. The company tells me that the device won’t hit the market until next year. Said a company spokesperson, “We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone yet again, but we’ve decided to delay its release until this spring.”Despite the words "iPhone 4 White arrived on the application Apple Store (available in the USA), Apple has denied this" rumor ", and finally withdrew the 4 white iPhone application.


No word on why the company has again delayed the device’s release. Presumably it’s got something to do with the manufacturing challenges that Apple had alluded to in the past.
In any event, it’s disappointing news for those of us holding out for the white model, which Apple this summer said would be available later this year. At this rate, we may see the iPhone 5 before we see the white iPhone 4….
